Monsoon Symphony was presented as part of the collective performance by Spatial Strategies, Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin, within Conjugations, the public program of the 36th Bienal de São Paulo, – Not All Travellers Walk Roads – Of Humanity as Practice. The event took place on September 6, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, outside the Ciccillo Matarazzo Pavilion at Ibirapuera Park.
Monsoon Symphony transforms field recordings of frogs, crickets, rain, thunder, and wind into beats and rhythms, creating an immersive soundscape that evokes the movement and intensity of the Malaysian monsoon, a seasonal wind pattern that brings heavy rainfall and shifts in climate across South and Southeast Asia.
