A collaboration between the artist Lorna Wen and myself in Tokyo. The project emerged out of the need to figure out life in the capital of Japan. Using photographs taken in the Tokyo railway system, erotic tattoo art and the memory of our close friend, we created a mythical figure of a westerner roaming through the streets of the megalopolis. Our goal was to use this western icon called Tom the Virginbreaker as a means to experience reality and desire through his eyes. The work was exhibited at the Rojitohito Arts Space in Tokyo, Japan and published in Taipei, Taiwan.
