-22 is a continuation of the interactive Madline projects, allowing visitors to participate. This time visitors could shoot pieces of chalk towards a blackboard, using a slingshot that is attached to a school desk.
The number “-22” refers to my age at the time, counted backwards in years down until the year 1995, to a specific moment in which I sat in the classroom on a Friday, mid-term, whilst the teacher was authoritatively demanding our homework.
-22 was presented in the exhibition Dimana (where are) young, at the National Art Gallery Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

延續Madline互動裝置,讓觀眾參與其中。這次用的是學校桌椅與黑板粉筆,還有兒時玩具丫叉,讓觀眾坐在學生時代的桌椅用丫叉將粉筆彈向黑板。
-22,是一個年份倒退1995年小學教室的數字,1995年正是小學一年級的那一年。12-5-1995是一個年中學校假期前的星期五,老師課堂上叮嚀著假期作業,我的思緒早已彌漫著遊戲與玩樂。
究竟是要多用功讀書未來才能出人頭地,這種疑惑始終在黑板上無法獲得正確的解答。於是我製作了《-22》馳線互動裝置,在正規的學習環境裡搭配丫叉,讓觀眾參與其中。
